tdy we went over to zouk. reached there abt 10pm? there was already two queues there... one to only zouk and the other to both phuture and zouk. decided to join the queue for phuture. almost reached the ticketing booth and they juz announced phuture full! like wth man... so we had to join the suddenly long zouk queue. all over again. oh well, we youngsters decided to just forgo the zouk idea and decided to join all our parents over at raffles hotel instead. really wasted!

reached raffles hotel and it was a totally different world. people were partying away in a ballroom waltzing away in their suits and gowns. joined the adults at long bar. the bar where the infamous singapore sling was first concocted. so of course we all ordered a glass each. pretty good... with a strong alcoholic content. authentic with the pineapples and cherries. missing those little paper umbrellas though! they also served peanets as snacks there... and the floor was all stewed with a layer of shells as they encourged everyone to throw their shells on the floor! live band was really excellent with seriously good songs and vocals, and the crowd, mostly westerners though, was really spontanous. happening man! cozy excellent place to chill at!!!

isnt it funny when asians speak to westeners they suddenly have this slang? yeah it's because i found that if we didnt speak to my canadian and american relatives in a slang, it seems they did not even understood what we were saying. and they're pure westerners being their first time in an asian city so even our language was slightly changed. they didnt know what a handphone was. it became called a cellphone. or even when i wanted to say what the hell... they would be going oh bummer, or asking me why asians were acting like their blacks back in the states... braiding their hair as we saw quite a few at zouk and listening to nowadays mindless rap music (i didnt know what to answer)... etcetcetc. really wth...

ps: now that i'm using firefox too, found out that my site wordings are all really unreadable! yeah u ppl knew that right... so i guess this site is best viewed on an IE and 1068 by 1028 pixels! anyone knows how to change the wordings to that it's readable via firefox? drop me a mail yeah? thnx in advance!
