today was the second time in my life actually bothering to watch ndp live. and of cos the first time would be when we were all forced to go down in primary school. got a call from juliana and she gave us two rehersal tixs as her fren had extras. we cut short our shopping at tampinesemall then headed down to benjamin shears bridge to collect the tixs. dame and i dropped her off at the wrong bridge as i had to park the car first. headed off in the hot sun to the other bridge and the nice guy (forgot his name) walked over instead to pass us the tixs! nice.. told her to leave her bag in the car as i thought it'll be a hassle but omg the sun was so scorching hot.. my white shirt became translucent. well, we got 4 goodie-plasticbags. she tried to return hers but instead had two given back. and this idiot army officer asked us to sit in seats tt were blocked by the podium at the front.. luckily she walked off to another row ignoring him.. lol! the rehersal was a joke in itself..the hosts were dressed pretty slackly and stars tt couldnt make it, guys holding placards were put in place to 'stimulate'. even the MPs,SM,MM,PM and President were 'stimulated'. as the plasticbags could be used as luckydraw coupons, we submitted them.. i threw them at a dustbin tt i saw everyonw throw theirs.. but walking further out.. we saw there was a collection area.. who would know there would be tt so far out... hai.. $9888 gone.. ok gotto give the parade credit.. saw helicopters n tanks n wat not close up in action and a few countable fireworks and fireballs so close tt we felt the heat.. overall a memorable experience!
